Itchy Feet

We are not going to Sweden afterall.

Mancub quit after argueing with the producer of the project- the guy had spent all the budget and told Mancub that there was no money for audio- so the project will be made up of a patchwork of library sounds... something a chimpanzee could do.

So, the artist quit.

I am sad...

Here I am. Where I want to be in mid-August: Malmo, Sweden!!!

Mancub is going on business to record the Malmo Symphony Orchestra right before the Malmo Festival. This is probably the most expensive time to go! I think we would fly in to either Copenhagen or Stockholm? I will have to pay for my own air, ground transport and food for about 1 week. Hotel will be covered. I will eat economically. I am NOT a fancy person! The kinds of spending I might do is on local music. Photographs and music are always my souvenirs of my travels.

With a lack of specific information, I have been planning for about 2 grand. I have posted on the forums and await the reply of any kind person who might know if that is enough money to cover me.

We have had challenges in saving money. I went to ER and the HMO so ironically named Kaiser will only pay for half the bill! We paid for the kid's tickets to fly here- boycub will visit July 1-5 and teencub will visit July 20-24. We had some repair bills and vet bills come up. So all my savings have gotten whittled away.

This blog represents my sheer will, determination and intent to go to Sweden in August 2006.

I offer this writing as a prayer.
